Victory Cake

From Grandma’s kitchen (Martha Johnson) found on an old recipe card:

Victory Cake

Mix in order:

1/4 c shortening

1 c sugar (dark if making butterscotch)

1 egg

1/4 tsp salt

1 box pudding (van., choc. or butterscotch)

Then mix:

2 c flour

3 tsp baking powder

1 cup cold water

Flavoring

Put into greased pan and bake fast.
