Baking Powder Biscuits

Taken from Grandma’s school book:

Baking Powder Biscuits

2 c flour

2 t baking powder

3 T fat

2/3 c milk

1 t salt

Mix and sift dry ingredients. Cut fat into mixture using 2 knives. Add milk gradually to make soft dough. Toss on floured board, knead gently, and roll lightly to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut with biscuit cutter first dipped in flour. Pace on unbuttered pan and bake in hot oven (450) 12 to 15 minutes.
